The lady who thought the mouse that came with her new computer was utilized in the same manner as a sewing machine pedal.
The fellow who traveled great distance for a new monitor, when the only thing wrong with his old one was the brightness was turned all the way down.
The clerk who swore his monitor was fritzing out. This was caused by looking at the screen while chewing crunchy potato chips, thereby causing the eyeballs to lose sync with the vertical refresh. Nobody else could see it, so it was generally assumed the clerk was going mad.

Computer Pros began as small computer outlet to provide personal computers (PC’s) to farmers back in 1982. Valmont Industries started to sell IBM computers in their Valley Irrigation stores in the early 80’s, but demand for computers soon prompted a computer store to be created, hence the foundation of ValCom Computer Center.
Since 1982, the personal computer industry and our store have undergone a variety of changes. Personal computers have become smaller, faster and cheaper and are a main-stay of almost every business and home. Computer Pros evolved from the beginnings of ValCom Computer Center to service and sell PC’s to businesses and individuals throughout the central Nebraska region.
Our name changed to Computer Pros in 1995 and our location from downtown Kearney to 2nd Avenue in 1999, but the products and services offered are still the same high quality that the company was based on in the early days. IBM is still one of the main products along with Hewlett Packard and Okidata, while Lenovo has joined the ranks of available products.
Quality and dedicated service and support has always been a goal of our business since the beginning with many customers becoming friends and referrals a common practice.
We enjoy supplying the knowledge and products that make businesses productive and effective and strive to increase our customer’s bottom line with fair and competitive pricing. This practice, we hope, will gain you as a customer today, and keep you as a friend far into the future.
